What’s New in Card Collector DB

This changelog highlights improvements collectors can see and use.

Beta 0.8.8 — September 23, 2026

Release selectors are now searchable and remain manageable as the catalog grows.

When the selected sort is otherwise tied, card versions now use a consistent order with Base first.

AI checklist-preparation guidance now requests an import-ready Excel file, preserves printed card numbers, and clarifies serial-numbering and source-verification rules.
Find clearer answers in Help & Support, with easier access to contact support and request a missing release or checklist.
Changelog entries now include the complete release date.
Implemented optimization and backend improvements.
Large release catalogs load more reliably, with paged results that retain filters, sorting, and exact totals.
Recorded copy serial numbers appear automatically in the existing Owned area on release pages.
Release checklist choices are alphabetized, and collection report choices share one consistent selector.
New Wanted entries start with No preference instead of an automatic Near Mint condition. You can still choose a desired condition.
Missing Cards completion summaries group checklists beneath their release and clearly show Held, Total, Missing, and Complete. Held includes Owned and For Trade cards, with each distinct collectible version counted once.

Catalog contributors can set serial-numbering information and an optional print limit when adding a new card.
Favorite releases and find your shortcuts on the homepage or in a favorites-only release view.
Add an exact card version to your Want List directly from its release page, even when you already own a copy.
Record a card version as Ordered from its release page and see it separately from cards you physically hold.
Find unheld card versions in Missing Cards reports for checklists where you already hold cards. View the report, export all matching rows to CSV, or prepare the complete report for printing.
Follow site updates through a public changelog linked from the product version.

Failed or duplicate Add Card submissions no longer leave incomplete catalog records.
